James Harden scored 28 points and Ivica Zubac set his playoff career high with 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Clippers to a 122-104 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night.
Reggie Jackson added 31 points for the Clippers, who shot 50.6% from the field and hit 17-of-40 from 3-point range.
Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 26 points, but he shot just 9-of-24 from the field.
The Clippers took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 37-23.
The Mavericks cut the lead to 10 points with about five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Clippers responded with a 7-0 run to put the game away.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Thursday night in Los Angeles.
